Academics
Educational Plan The
Denver Plan is the educational program at Grant Middle School. Student achievement is our focus; explicit
curricular implementation of the DPS curriculum, a strong instructional
program, and the use of multiple assessments to guide our instruction are at
the heart of our plan. Students are
taught by highly skilled teachers who value professional development. Our administrators serve as
instructional leaders and provide quality-learning opportunities though
professional development including time for staff collaboration to enhance
focused instructions. We provide a
safe, orderly, and enriching environment for student learning. All students are engaged in a rigorous
course of study that encourages inquiry and is aligned with standards, demands
higher level thinking, sets high expectations, emphasizes problem solving,
stresses critical thinking, and requires character development. Upon completion of the Grant Beacon School
Plan, students will demonstrate proficiency at the 8th grade benchmark of the Colorado State standards in
all core subject areas.
There will be a:
- Focus on academic achievement
